Our suggestion is a trip down memory lane - not with nightgowns, but with bloomers!

Hurray! Romance is not dead! It seems the trend to super translucent nightgowns has suffered a reverse and full length nightgowns are once again ‘in’. It’s an interesting observation. Many brides, unable to find the sort of romantic lingerie they were looking for for a honeymoon have in recent times resorted to vintage lingerie, reveling in the sort of nylon and lace which, while certainly feminine and romantic to look at is not very comfortable to wear.

Tina wearing our bloomer pajamas in pure white eyelet cotton. Can be trimmed with ribbons!

This is Tina, from our latest photo shoot, showing off our bloomer pajamas, in pure, bridal white.
What’s interesting is that we find that although all Certain Style nightwear is customizable, so you can trim your white bloomer pajamas with the colors of your wedding scheme, most brides opt for white. Looking at this dreamy picture, you can certainly see why!

When you've made something very brief and lacey do you want to cover it up? If you choose something with sparkle might it look more like a costume than regular nightwear, and if so, is that necessarily bad?

Our boudoir bra and skirted panties with matching chiffon wrap.

Here at Certain Style we’ve been having a difficult day. One of the items for our new range is a simple sleep ‘bra’ and we wanted to make a short robe to go with it, but we can’t agree on the fabric. When you’ve made something very brief and lacey do you want to cover it up? If you choose something with sparkle might it look more like a costume than regular nightwear, and if so, is that necessarily bad?

It’s probably no surprise that ‘costumey clothes’ get the vote of all the men in this organisation – I personally like a bit of sparkle on most things; after all we already have a very popular organza robe with tiny embedded crystals – but we decided not to go for it. I’ll post the picture when it’s available and you tell me if you agree, there’s plenty of room for sparkle, even in an elegant bedroom.
– Update- we’ve just added the picture of the final ensemble. What do you think? Should we have gone for the sparkle?
