Hi! My name is Lesley and I am the CEO of  Certain Style. Our aim is to help you feel fabulous and let you express yourself in gorgeous garments we make just for you. No more wearing black because it’s the only color you can get!

• If you ever want to buy satin and lace but find it doesn’t come in your size, we can provide it. Our garments are all custom made so whatever your size, petite, plus, tall or short, we can make it to fit.
• If you ever go to the lingerie shop to buy something elegant, but only find transparent nightgowns with dubious cut outs, you’ll really like ours.
• If you live a public life and need robes to help you look instantly elegant and in control, look no further, we make them, and we can work with you to make sure they are practical for your particular lifestyle.
• If you’re tall and can never buy a short nightgown because it’s just too short, ours are made to measure. We make them the length you want
• If you’re short and want a full length, romantic nightgown, but don’t want to have to cut off the lace trim because it’s too long, once again we’ll make it the length you need.
• If you know you look fabulous in blue, but the lingerie shop only has black, white and ‘blush’ look no further. Custom made means we make to your measurements AND in your favorite color – blue is one of our favourites, but we use 82 different colors of silk, your favorite is very likely to be amongst them.

Here’s how we work. Every quarter we sit down and think about what you, our clients, need. Our speciality is nightgowns and robes, but the patterns we use can be adapted to cover many wardrobe items – we’ve even had clients get married in our nightgowns!

Statistically the average American woman can now be described as ‘fuller figured’ or plus-size, so we develop our designs to suit these ‘larger’ sizes, rather than scaling up small designs. Our standard sizes start at 38-40 inch bust, and go up to 60 inches, but we will make to any size.

Once we’ve worked out what we need, we hand over to the designers to come up with new designs or variations on the old ones. Then the fun bit is when I get to decide on the fabrics. This is a problem becuase I love fabric, and given half a chance I’d order huge amounts, but usually the business woman in me stops me before I go completely beserk.

I say I decide, but most things we do here are collaborative – we’re pretty spread out across the world, but technology helps us work as a team. Where we’d be without google talk and it’s green dot it a mystery to me.

In addition to nightgowns and robes, we can help plug those wardrobe ‘gaps’, when you have most of an outfit but just need that extra peice. Choose from a huge quantity of fabrics in an enormous variety of colours and get exactly what you need, made to your measurements.

So far so good. Everything is handed over to Cathy who is in charge of production, and every nightgown, robe or item of lingerie we sell from certainstyle.com is manufactured in the USA. Once each collection has been made we have a photoshoot, organised by Kyrie our Art Director and Gareth our photographer. They make sure everything looks great and then the pictures are uploaded to the website and newsletter so you can see what we have produced for you.

Once that’s done, believe it or not, it’s time to start again with a new collection for another season.
